Wawanesa takes # 1 in JD Power California Auto Insurance Satisfaction Rankings
The insurer scored the highest for this position in the JD Power 2020 Auto Insurance Study.
Wawanesa was California’s top-performing auto insurance company in terms of customer satisfaction according to the results of a recent JD Power study.
The insurer was the “highest level of customer satisfaction among auto insurers in California”.
This was published in the JD Power 2020 Auto Insurance Study, in which the insurer also took first place in the Price, Policy Offers and Claims categories. Wawanesa’s leadership position among California auto insurance companies for customer satisfaction has stood out as having bragging rights.
The JD Power study examines customer satisfaction in five different areas. These included: price, policy offers, interaction, billing process and policy information, and complaints. The study results were based on responses from 4,991 California consumers with auto policies. Data was collected from February 1 to March 30, 2020. Wawanesa’s score was 32 points higher than the region average.
Wawanesa Auto Insurance in California scored 853 on a 1,000-point scale.

Henn pointed out that this year’s study was particularly significant because the results were obtained in the midst of the onset and continuation of the COVID-19 pandemic. “This year in particular, with all the stress of the COVID-19 pandemic, we want to make sure that every interaction our customers have with us helps make their lives easier, not harder. He added, “We have worked hard to listen to our customers and put their needs first. Winning the # 1 spot in the pricing and claims areas suggests that we are providing a high level of service when and where it matters most to our customers, and at a price that people believe is fair.
The insurer currently sells auto and rental insurance policies in California and Oregon. It has served these markets in California since 1975. In terms of performance in the JD Power studies, this is the second year in a row that the insurer has achieved first place in customer satisfaction.
